RLC Infant Program
Your baby will develop and learn more in his/her first year of life than at any other point. Each moment is intentionally planned in Roots Infant Porgram to ensure your baby will make the most of this period of rapid cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.
We understand that it is going to be difficult to leave our baby in someone else's care. Our infant program is designed to make the transition between home and school smooth and enjoyable for the whole family. It is important that your child create a bond with his/her provider, which is why your child will be cared for by a primary care giver. This will help to provide consistency during feeding, napping, interactions and communication with parents. Your child's provider will follow your child's individual schedule and provide a soft, safe classroom that will ensure our infant's days are as enriching as if he/she was with you.
Ratios in the infant room are 1 teacher to 3 infants. Between the ages of 12 and 15 months old, our child will begin the transition into the toddler room. Depending on development, your child may transition as early as 10 months old. The transition is done slowly to provide enough time for your child to become familiar with his new surroundings. Teachers and parents will work together to make the transition as easy as possiblefor the child.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. We understand that this is a tough transition for our parents as well as infants and we would like to provide you with support in any way we can. Our teachers have a wealth of information and if they don't know the answer to your questions, they will find out for you. We look forward to getting to know your child and providing them with the resources they need to learn and grow.
